Hello Everyone! As you know do we have a DarkRP Server


Am i the only one thinking.. "This is allitle old", Yea iknow downtown is a great map, But honestly Back when DarkRP Got created was this one of the first maps, We really one day need to "move on" NO THIS IS NOT MENT LIKE YOU THINK. I did not try to say it in a harsh way.


My Idea Is Something Like "Realistic Roleplay" Like the one we have, But allitle more like our actually real lifes


We should really try to use a Citylife looking map, Like downtown, Or "Paralakecity" "rp_califonia" and so, Normal cities, perhaps more than 1 main city..

I would suggest Cars to these maps aswell, We do own VCMOD-VCMODELS. So police cars got sounds, Cars can die, Got HP, You get the weapons "Repair tool"- gonna talk about that Longer down!

More than Cars, I think players would like realism, We could have firefighters? Make a randomfirespawn (Or molotows) We also got that script, (We can do this as we want, Molotow, Random fire, Both or just like what you wish), Firetrucks is following content to that aswell as an NPC to spawn it


I suggest we use TDM Cars, But "Goverment Viechle station" For Govermen Viechles, (We also got that script) YOU CAN CONFIGUERE THE CARS IN IT APPERENTLY


I also suggest, More jobs Like

Car Mechanic (Would be possible whit these features)
Pyro (Or add it to a criminal or something)
Firefighter
Locksmith (A normal locksmith that can help police to enter apartments/gangsters)

S.W.A.T Team (Whit riotsheild)

Advanced weed growing whit lightd instead of that potdealer if it's possible, So we can get it realistic!

IMO cars will really run the RP. They're clunky as all hell to control and they get even worse if you have any kind of ping over 100 as they just become hard as all hell to control so you're crashing into stuff left and right.

We've tried other maps briefly and again in my opinion nothing beats good old Downtown.

We already had to change back to V2 because Neal left and other friends of mine said that they wouldn't join V4, and V2 doesn't work with cars.

I'm not sure about the map tbh, I liked the idea of a bigger map but then it was changed back to V2. It is a classic but it does get boring after a while.

You can always add anything to a post via the edit button. As adding another post when your last one hasn't been replied to is a bit redundant and just adds clutter to a thread.

Bigger maps = Bigger problems, as a few of you have stated we tried bigger maps, and it was decided to stay on the current map. Mainly because the reasons everyone disliked it and adding cars was a pain, and made the downloads clunky and wasteful. I'm all for the idea of a new map but we need a map that people know and does not require the use of cars.

Also we would have to totally re-do all of the world props, which is a pain, especially us putting in all the effort to get about 9 players on a day. If we can start getting populated me and Juan will think about it but it's just not worth putting in such effort if we do not get any back.

I can see what you talk about, And i do know that pain, I think i installed (reinstalled) many many server, DarkRP as alot of other shit, But guys... nothing cruel, But the only thing i learned by this is, It really does take a million mistakes to find the one good thing.<


iknow putting alot of effort into a map isn't awsome when you just say "narh, I think this might be better", But hey bro, I am really not trying to say "This is bad, Only this will be good", I do wish that players still loved This, I do myself too, But near some of the "Really giant servers" I dont know if im allowed to type names. We need to try something new if this doesnt workout..


Sorry for making this long text, But i dont wanna say anything wrong to anyone, But i do belive it takes more than 1 try to make a perfect DarkRP Server, And Maybe i'm wrong and this is allready perfect, But we will never know if we never try:s

The thing is though we've been using downtown for quite a while so our community is rather used to just having that and as bill said quite a few of our members actually wanted to quit upon hearing that we changed to a map other than Downtown.

So unless we can get the support from our users and actual people populating the servers. I don't think we'll be changing the map any time soon.

That's how I see it. I know you you're not saying that downtown is bad or anything negative also.

But we won't give up.

I 100% agree. If we had more jobs, you could put in the title "20+ Jobs!" Or something of that sort. People tend to like having variety now days, and the server needs some population.
